The Arrester for Telecommunication Devices protects CCTV and telecommunication systems from lightning and surges, such as telephones and fax machines, which are very common in households or offices. The Arrester is in line with ANSI C62.45 and IEC61000-4-5 standards for surges and lightning.
According to statistics from Taiwan Power Company, there are more than 25,000 times of lightning strikes per year in Taiwan, mostly in the mountains, also metal houses or outdoor electricity boxes. Moreover, there are also 80% surges happening inside the building. They come from the HVAC system, elevator, air compressor, water/power switch, and other equipment in the building.
